Major investment bank is seeking an experienced senior technologist to be in an Executive Director role, leading a global project team of both front and back-end developers, to take on the responsibility for the architecture, planning and development of innovative market risk projects that will deliver enhancements to the firm's risk measurement and management functions.

REQUIREMENTS

-8+ years of Java and DBMS (Oracle or Sybase) full life-cycle development experience
-6 years leadership experience
-Exceptional analytical and communication skills;
-Extensive experience managing teams developing multiple projects simultaneously
-Extensive experience in planning, building and deploying large-scale business critical applications
-Extensive experience in architecting large, distributed, global, highly scalable systems
-Experience with data management applicationsin relation to Risk Management or Financial products
-Experience with Risk Management function (particularly VAR calculations) and/or financial product valuation
-Familiar with the systems architecture associated with the Risk Management function
